Hi everyone

I’m pleased to announce the winner of our recent developer contest in Mexico, “¡Desafía Tu App Con Motorola DEFY!” (“Challenge Your App with Motorola DEFY”).

The winner is:

Ricardo Arriaga from Ironbit, for his app GeoRole.

Congratulations Ricardo! Ricardo has won a Motorola DEFY and 10,000 pesos, plus inclusion of his app in Motorola marketing opportunities.

We had invited developers in Mexico to submit apps that have the same ready-for-everything attitude as the Motorola DEFY, and we found Ricardo’s brand new app GeoRole to be a great interpretation of this spirit.

GeoRole connects people with local service providers in their area, such as taxi drivers, who are currently available. It also allows people to create real-time events and invite friends who are nearby. With the GeoRole app, service providers and their customers, as well as groups of friends on the go, can be ready for anything and everything.

Ironbit is a mobile and web application development house based in Mexico City. More info can be found on their website: http://www.ironbit.com.mx/.

Again, congratulations to Ricardo and thank you to all those who participated in the contest!

(“Challenge Your App with Motorola DEFY”):
