They say that good things come to those who wait...and perhaps that's true, since the DROID BIONIC by Motorola is one great Android phone. Originally announced at CES last January, our first phone to use Verizon's 4G LTE network is finally on sale in stores. I had the good fortune to get to play with the BIONIC way back in January. Using it, I put together the BIONIC device specifications page  and wrote the "Detecting and Using LTE Networks" article. That article has been sitting in our AAP (App Accelerator Program) area all this time, waiting for the BIONIC to be released. Now that the phone is out, that article is available for anyone to access (and is finally applicable to a shipping device!). Check out this picture of the DROID BIONIC.

Although very few app developers will need the information in the "Detecting and Using LTE Networks" article, if you need to know details about the current data connection and/or want to be notified when the connection changes, this article is for you. For the rest of you, this phone also supports a host of other interesting Motorola technologies. In particular, it supports the following APIs above and beyond what Android Gingerbread provides:

* Enterprise Device Management

External Storage

* HDMI Dual Screen

* HDMI Status

If you have any questions or just want to talk about any of the above topics, join us over on our discussion boards. We currently have a thread dedicated to developing for the DROID BIONIC

With all this phone can do, I expect it'll be a very popular device. If you haven't already done so, check it out!
